Mimzy!

The latest 2007 film I've finally caught up with is The Last Mimzy (or "The Last Vagina", as its known in England). It was an ok children's fantasy with some surprisingly sophisticated science fiction elements. The cast is good (though it's impossible to take Rainn Wilson from The Office seriously) and it has some neat effects. The sinister government agents who suddenly turn nice at the end is one of the more ludicrous moments, though. Funny to think the film was directed by Bob Shaye, the man who did his best to try and stop The Hobbit being made by not paying anyone from The Lord of the Rings movies.
